‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ aren’t your average pitch-shifters; they’re an innovative plugin pack designed to adjust the pitch along each direction of each dimensional plane independently, offering unparalleled flexibility and control over your sound manipulation. With ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’, you are not merely bending pitch; you're reshaping the sonic architecture of your spatial field.

With ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ you can alter the pitch of the Front, Back, Left, Right, Top, Bottom, and Mid independently, each one with its own independent Pitch-Shifting algorithm (with or without time stretching) and volume control - everything compatible with Mono, Stereo and ANY Ambisonics order (from 1OA to 7OA)*.

‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ - Two flavours for all kinds of users!

With ‘ab PitchShifter’, you have complete control over each of the directions of your three-dimensional signal in an orthodox manner, each side comes with its own Pitch control (+/- 2 octaves through semitones, or freely), its own Pitch-Shift algorithm (Pitch-down with or without time-stretching), volume control, and a creative pre-delay for adding exciting effects to each dimensional plane. A Lite version of the plugin is also included, for people who work either with 1OA signals or want to stick to Stereo mixes and don’t need the extra three-dimensional definition.

With ‘ab PitchPad’, a more holistic and creative approach has been taken - where a Pad will let you bend each of the sides from your signal without having to worry about the details of what is going on under the hood: Use your ears and your intuition to shape and bend the pitch of your sounds. A Lite version of the plugin is also included, for people who work either with 1OA signals or want to stick to Stereo mixes and don’t need the extra three-dimensional definition.

Do you have a Mono or Stereo source? well, ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ will automatically convert it to Ambisonics so that you can manipulate it three-dimensionally.

Do you work with Stereo mixes? ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ work natively in Ambisonics, meaning that regardless of your output being in Stereo, all the processing has been done three-dimensionally so you can rotate, reshape, and manipulate your signal before it’s converted to Stereo, for unique Binaural sensations.

Do you work in Surround, Dolby Atmos, or even a custom multispeaker array? Because ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ work in up to 7th-Order Ambisonics*, you can literally transform the soundscape of ANY two or three-dimensional source with unprecedented definition!

From subtle modulations to sweeping sonic transformations, ‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ put an unprecedented level of pitch-shifting power at your fingertips. It's more than a pitch shifter - it's a three-dimensional sound-sculpting tool.

‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ are compatible with Mono, Stereo, and Ambisonics sources (1OA through 7OA*) and will output Stereo and Ambisonics signals that can later be decoded to ANY speaker array possible. From Binaural, to Surround and even to Dolby Atmos arrays.

This means that even if you have a Monophonic recording, you can create a fully three-dimensional space that can embrace you in your Dolby Atmos mix, everything in a matter of seconds! Pretty cool.

‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ internals work natively in 7th Order Ambisonics, meaning you can apply spatial transformations whilst keeping the best quality possible.

‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ come with a practical Preset system where you create your presets ONCE, and they are Cross-DAW and Cross-OS compatible! Meaning you can move your presets from Mac to Windows (or vice versa) and even share them with other users!

‘ab PitchShifter’ and ‘ab PitchPad’ also come with a ‘smart troubleshooting’ algorithm, which will check your signal chain and let you know if something is wrong with it.

No matter if your input audio is in Mono, Stereo or Ambisonics, ab PitchShifter will automatically try to detect it. Regardless, you can also select manually.

ab PitchShifter will adapat the output signal to the width of your track automatically. Regardless, you can also select manually.

If your output is set to Ambisonics, you’ll be able to decode the signal to any speaker array configuration, from Stereo to Binaural, Surround formats (such as 5.1) and even Atmos (such as 7.1.2, 7.1.4, etc.)

‘ab PitchShifter’ offers complete and precise control over each side of each dimensional plane. Additionally, modulators can be applied to most controls for creating dynamic bending motions!

‘ab PitchPad’ is a more holistic approach to sound design - forget about precision and instead, simply follow your ears with the Pad. Each pad element is fully automatable!

From Simplicity

Each Pitch Knob is easy to understand: a Speed-Shift On/Off algorithm (available when Pitching Down), Semitones/Free Pitch, and a +/- 2 Octaves pitch control.

To Complexity

When controlling Dimensional Planes independently, each plane can also be linked and its volume can be controlled for interesting results.

Buoy

Our ‘buoyancy’ algorithm was implemented so that you can increase the size of any signal (Mono, Stereo or Ambisonics), great for artificially expanding spaces.
