Audio Brewers has reached its second anniversary! So many things have passed in two years:
First, we were the very first company to create Sample Libraries recorded, mixed AND delivered in Ambisonics for immersive music. Ambisonics tech and Immersive Audio have always been a personal dream of mine! After so many years creating Sample Libraries in Stereo, one day I simply decided to just leave the monotony and embark into this new adventure!
But that’s not all. In the beginning of 2022 we also started our own line of plugins - again, focused towards offering tools to those engineers, producers and designers who wish to work natively in immersive and spatial audio!
There are so many formats that make part of the ‘immersive’ family - from the good old Surround 5.1, all the way to VR, Dolby Atmos, etc. But Ambisonics in completely unique from all other formats, because it contains an infinite sonic sphere that can be translated to ANY speaker array. Meaning that, whatever is Ambisonics, can become ANYTHING, while converting anything to Ambisonics, results in loss of information, since ‘baked’ speakers are static.
This is why, by developing our products in Ambisonics, we make sure they are compatible natively with any professional who wishes to work in Stereo, Atmos, Surround, VR, or any speaker setup imaginable, without all the hassle of having to encode, route and prepare channels - we do all the work for you, you can get to work!

A note from Alejandro, and a birthday event!
In my journey of Plugin development, I started my experimentation with Reverbs - which are a deep, deep subject. The very first reverb we released was ‘ab Reverb’.
Because everything I do has to be checked at least in Stereo, Headphones, 5.1 and 7.1.4, finding a balance between a realistic and aesthetic reverb was quite difficult, especially when having into consideration early and late reflections.
In my deep experimentation, though, I realised that perhaps “realism” is not necessarily more important than aesthetics, and this is why I went back to the development phase to create another reverb, that although is simpler in looks, fits beautifully in artistic applications such as music or sound design.
I called it ‘ab Doverb’, and for our anniversary, I want to offer you a free copy!
